    Put that down!!

    Have you ever dug a nice bullet ,only to find it has chew marks on it from some varmint who thought it was a nut?? That happened to me the other day, so here is to the squirrel,at least he had good taste!

    Is this a small cal. or a cut off or carved bullet ?? The cavity looks similar to a press form and is shallow(sorry for the one bad picture)

    Id Bullet help

    I found this bullet today,dont have any idea what it is. The bullet is 3 ring .58 cal.,the top thing sticking out seems to be lead and goes all the way through the bullet. Inside the base you can see the other end of it,It was found in Gettysburg at a field hospital site.

    Carved bullets found

    Posting some carved bullets I found Yesterday after work. I found 3 and maybe the knife that carved them. They were all within a few feet of each other.The bottom is cut on one,one is really worked over and the third has a cross on it. Thought someone might like to see them.

    What the heck is this...help me identify

    I found this in metal detecting in Gettysburg , where I live. It came out of a field hospital site along with a ton of relics. But I cant figure this one out. My guess was it came off of a ambulance wagon (whip holder?) I dont know...you tell me,its not a scabbord ,it has some sort of mounting...
